Criteria to obtain technical assistance for bicycle helmet  programmes from Malaysian Helmet Initiatives (MHI)   Commitment from all sectors at district and state levels of Road Safety Council Willingness to pay or obtain sponsorship for bicycle helmets (In very special  instances MHI may partially sponsor the purchase of helmets) Cooperation from school authorities and teachers for participation and to assess the program for at least one year (helmet wearing rates, crash involvement, etc) Willingness of students to wear the helmet at all times when riding the bicycle. MHI will provide technical assistance in terms of training, permission and assessment format, etc.   MHI will also provide technical assistance in assessing motorcycle helmet use and promotion of child car seats.
