flag out of mineral bottles?
Just drop your emty 1.5 liter
mineral water bottles at the special counter set up at the EU3
Shopping Complex in Jalan Loke Yew.
The complex’s senior manager,
Jayantha Rajendra, said they aim to collect 15,000 of the 1.5
litre bottles and 2,000 of the 500 millilitre bottles.
The first 1,000 donors with
42 mineral water bottles will each receive a Merdeka Day
Celebration car sticker and a can of Milo drink.
The collection, which
started yesterday, will go on until the end of next month.

Day celebration in August,” he said.
“It is to increase the
awareness of recycled products and to encourage the
implementation of recycling throughout the country.”
The project, jointly
organized by Malaysian Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association, is
also looking for 150 volunteers.
“Presently, we have 100
volunteers but we need more people to help us collect bottles
and arrange them,” said its president K.Balasupramaniam.
The team aims to make a 26.4

paper.
The flag, which is estimated
to weigh about 2,000 kilogrammes, will be hung at the complex
concourse area in August.
“We hope to complete
the flag by Aug 6,” he said.
The attempt will be recorded
in the Malaysia Book of Records under the Human Achievement
