The Buckle-up Kiddies Program is the
latest children road safety awareness
program initiated by MVFRA.
The
main focus of the program is to teach the
children to put on the seat belt and buckle
it correctly.
In
conjunction with the JKJR Road Show 2008,
the program had been successfully conducted
in Johor Bahru, Kuantan and Kuala Terengganu
with the participation of 800 children all
over the states.
Through the program, we hope to create road
safety awareness for the young generation
and embark the spirit to serve as good role
model by using safety belts on every ride.
WHAT WILL THE CHILDREN LEARN
?
STATION 1 – BUCKLE-UP
This station is to teach
children to put on the seat belt and buckle
it correctly.
STATION 2 - RED LIGHT – STOP!
This station is to teach
children about the traffic lights and the
meaning of color signal.
STATION 3 –YELLOW BOX
JUNCTION
This station is to teach
children the rules of yellow box junctions.
One must not enter the yellow box junction
unless you can clear it without stopping.
STATION 4 – ZEBRA CROSSING
This station is to teach
children safer crossing habits. Driver must
give way when someone has moved onto a
crossing. Pedestrian must always keep
looking both ways before crossing.
